Testimonials

I started on my shed project with the intention of project managing and completing some of the work myself. The more I looked into it, and the more manufacturers I spoke with the more confused I became. Each one had variations as to what was included and excluded in the kit price. They all maintained that there kit was superior to the other and had good sales arguments as to why I should use them. When I sat down and analysed everything they were all about the same cost, but I had an amount of work to do that wasn’t achievable considering my work commitments.

I was encouraged by a friend to meet with the team at Asset and discuss a custom manufactured steel shed. I spoke with Wayne Savage and gave him the dimensions of the building, I met with them later in the day. When I initially looked at the price I thought it was a bit out of my range. I took all the plans and the contract home to compare with the information I’d collected. When I started doing the numbers and checking the fine print the Asset shed started to become a real option. I was already sold on the quality of the building being it is a proper structural steel building as opposed to a purlin and top hat system. So I was prepared to pay a premium for this, especially considering the long term plans are to turn the building into a warehouse style home. It was when I realised the only requirement from me other than writing a cheque was to provide a level site I was sold.

Asset took care of the whole project inclusive of, Council approval, digging the footings and providing the concrete, all crane and scissor lift hire. All I had to do was pick up the keys when the job was done. Everything that was done far exceeded my expectations. The shed looks great, it was built on time and within the budget. I would recommend Asset Building Systems to any one, a great honest company to deal with.

In regards to project 1600m2 warehouse extension to 6a brooks rd. Asset Building provided a large extension to our industrial Warehouse complex in Ingleburn. We found them helpful from when we first found them online and enjoyed working with them from pricing, then construction right through to occupation certificate. I appreciated dealing directly with the owners with a shared family business values that made the inevitable challenges of a large extension project an enjoyable experience. Also, they are very professional and have great systems and process to deal with any situation that arises, as this build was broken into 3 parts to allow the tenant to operate in the existing section whilst the works were being done, which they managed very well. We would recommend Asset Building to others looking to undertake this type of extension.

I was very fair in my feedback. I’m very happy with the quality of the product, as well as the professionalism and the on-time presentation upfront. The only negative I raised — and this came up without being prompted — was that there was a bit of an issue mid-project around stand-up time, and communication from ABSA was lacking at that stage. I felt more could have been done to put me at ease and give me reassurance during that period. That said, we did catch up, the project was completed on time, and ABSA worked very well with me on variations. I felt they were fair and didn’t slug me for every variation — they absorbed some of the costs, which I appreciated. Overall, a simple weekly update, even just a phone call or progress photos, would have been enough for me at that stage. I do have three more projects coming up, not as large as this one, and I would consider using ABSA again. I’m just not quite ready at the moment.

I use Asset Building Systems simply because I like working with them 🙂 On the initial Cheney Park project, Trevor provided some preliminary rates that I used. At the time, TRD didn’t have the full scope of works, so when ABSA completed their detailed quote, it came in higher than what I had originally allowed for. At the same time, Council was asking for cost savings. By working together, we redesigned the solution and ABSA achieved a $10,000 saving. I was able to pass on 70% of that saving to Council and absorb the remainder to cover the shortfall. It ended up being a win-win situation. For me, it’s the relationship and transparency that really make it work.

I arranged the installation of a 36m awning by Asset Building systems at our very busy commercial site in Western Sydney. I was thoroughly impressed with Asset’s professionalism, care and due diligence on providing the required safety information, communication on project progress and managing an install at an operating site with numerous challenges. In a role that usually requries me to manage tradies like a herd of cats it is refreshing to have a company like Asset supply info unprompted, ontime and in a easy-going manner. The awning also looks great and suits the need perfectly. Highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.

I chose Asset Building Systems because I wanted to deal local and found them through a Google search. I did get one other quote, but after speaking with other locals and hearing positive word-of-mouth referrals, I felt confident going with them. At the end of the project, I was more than happy to recommend them to others. What I really liked was that they handled the whole job, having one contractor and clear communication throughout made me feel comfortable. They were upfront from the start. The only hassle I experienced wasn’t related to Asset Building Systems. It was around the DA process, where the building was called a packing shed, which added a whole new dimension to approvals. In hindsight, it would have been easier to call it a machinery shed initially and then apply for permission to use part of it for packing later.

I wasn’t involved in the original decision-making process, but based on everything I now know and my experience through the project, I would use Asset Building Systems again without any doubts. I’m very happy with the outcome. The word I kept coming back to was how responsive they were all the way through. They were the only ones who offered to meet the required timeline — and they did. They delivered on their promises and were prompt in fixing any issues that came up. When I was asked if there was anything that didn’t go so well, I had to think for a while. The only thing I could mention was that some of the subcontractors didn’t perform to the same standard as Asset Building Systems. On one occasion, we were told the roof would go on that day, but the subcontractors arrived and then left, saying it was due to rain — even though there was no rain. Overall, though, my experience with Asset Building Systems was very positive.

I was very positive from the start and found myself listing all the reasons Asset Building Systems won the job. They were very responsive and helpful throughout the process. While they weren’t the cheapest option, their evaluation report was by far the strongest. I also felt that their lifetime service offering for the shed was better than the others.

When I was asked if there was anything that could have been done better or if I had any feedback to help improve outcomes for clients like me, the only negative I raised related to government processes. As a government entity, we’re required to complete banking checks, and because ABSA has a trust involved, no funds appear when searches are conducted. This can be an issue for government departments. However, with bank guarantees, I was able to work around it. My suggestion would be that if ABSA is pursuing more government work, a structure that is more visible and government-friendly would be a huge help.

This is just a short message confirming our association with Asset Building services. We have been doing business with them in different capacities over the last 10 years & always found them to be very professional, organised & always willing to tackle any type of work. We have worked with them providing steel for various size projects involving processed structural, tubular & plate associated jobs. We have a great business relationship with them & will support any efforts they may have concerning steel projects.

Just want to formally thank you for all the hard work you and Asset Construction have put into the Memorial Park project. It is a pleasure working with you and the professionalism and attention to detail displayed on this project have built a strong reputation for your company. One that has attracted the attention of Griffith City Council and our partners.

I was very positive and honestly wouldn’t work with anyone else after working with Marcus. He was fantastic and went above and beyond in every way — he was amazing. I did hesitantly admit that I was planning to call him this week regarding some flashing on a pipe. I was worried that mentioning it might go against him in the report… hahaha. Once I was reassured that it wouldn’t be an issue and that it would be passed on and fixed, I was very happy.

More than satifactory, father and son turned up well dressed and organised, was very impressed and that carried through the process, kept in touch kept him informed, asked if he had any suggestions for anything that could have been done better he said no, was all positive ( have a spare set of clothes in ute for sales type calls if working on site)

Very happy , quoting and service was prompt, actual works haven’t started , but negotiating skills from ABSA was good, he knows he is hard to deal with and we were patient and persistent , he says he should have cancelled the project and did postpone it but we gave him the confidence and made him feel comfortable continuing on, we kept in touch all the way.

I really appreciate how your quotes are structured — they’re very easy to read and clearly show what’s included and what’s not. When I received your turnkey quote for the buildings, I pulled out all the separate trades and plugged your quote straight in. It was that easy. I’ve never met a company quite like you
